Functioning to a high-quality standard, it can efficiently transfer a huge number of photos flawlessly from a variety of card types (including CompactFlash type I & II, MicroDrive, SDXC/SD/SDHC/microSD/microSDHC, Multimedia Cards: MMC/MMC 4.1/MMC Plus, SmartMedia and xD series (xD/xD Typ M/xD Typ H) and memory stick types (MS/MS Select/MS Duo/MS Pro Duo/MS Pro/MS Pro HG/MS Micro (M2) at a super fast rate of up to 100 MB/s, meaning you can access all your images with minimal fuss. It also supports miniSD/miniSDHC memory cards via SD adapter (not included in the delivery package) and UDMA mode for CF up to 32 MB/s.
The reader is extremely easy to use and requires only to be plugged in to a USB 2.0 or 1.1 socket for it to operate, with most computers automatically recognising a card when it is inserted into the device and allowing images to simply be copied or dragged and dropped to where they are required. Alternatively, you can use the additional USB cable for connecting it to a PC/laptop. Furthermore, the hot swapping function allows a direct data exchange between memory cards.

Despite a firmware update the card reader is not recognized as a drive.
If not all drives are displayed, this may be due to the configuration of your computer. If network drives already have e.g. various drive letters or if you have limited the number of drive letters you must change this manually. Under Windows you can assign the drive letters manually under:
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management
The renaming works as follows:
Right click on the missing drive letter > modify drive letter
