Can the WiFi door / window contact be used on all doors and windows?

The door contact can be used with both rebated and un-rebated doors.
With rebated doors, you can attach the narrow part of the door contact to the side of the door leaf using the adhesive pad supplied and the wider part with the battery unit to the door frame. This allows the 10 mm maximum distance to be maintained with ease.
This should work for almost all doors and windows that are not flush with the frame.

To integrate the smart window contact into the WiFi network, a Zigbee-enabled smart home hub is required (not included in the extent of delivery), e.g. Hama Smart Home Hub or the Hama heating central control unit.

Amazon Alexa/Google Assistant:
To do this, the Alexa skill "Hama Home" must have been activated in the Alexa App/"Hama Home" service must have been activated in the Google Home App. The user account for the Hama Home app is then connected Alexa / Google.
Or use a Matter-enabled smart home hub such as 00176637.
This allows the devices to be controlled via voice control (switching on/off).
