Are the Step by Step schoolbags waterproof?
All upper materials of the Step by Step products are impregnated and therefore water-repellent. We would like to explicitly point out that the products are not waterproof. If you want protect the schoolbag additionally from rain and snow we recommend you to buy a Step by Step rain/safety cover, e.g. item number 25978.
 How can I clean my Step by Step schoolbag set?
Dirty places should preferably be wiped off with a moist cloth. In case of heavy soiling we recommend you to use a little bit of shower gel. Direct exposure to water should be avoided, i.e. that you should not lay a pencil case in a sink or a schoolbag in a washing machine/dishwasher. Otherwise irreparable damage may occur inside the satchel/accessory; moreover, the protective impregnation layer would be destroyed.
 Who do I have to contact to make a complaint because of a defective Step by Step product? When does the product prove to be a valid guarantee claim?

What is the best way to pack my Step by Step schoolbag?
The partition of all our models allows you to ergonomically position heavy objects close to the back. This guarantees optimal relief of the back. Additional compartments give you the possibility to stow away small parts. Parents should regularly examine the right fit of the schoolbag as the bodily structure of children changes during the period of primary school. With the right adjustment of the back system and shoulder straps you make sure that the schoolbag always fits correctly and agreeably. Ergonomics and carrying comfort are maintained during primary school phases.

Terms of warranty

Hama GmbH & Co KG provides the following manufacturer’s warranty on the workmanship and materials used for the product 00129094 "ADAC" TOUCH DIN LED Schoolbag Set, 5 parts: 4 Years Warranty
This warranty begins on the date of purchase for all satchels purchased before 01.01.2024. For satchels purchased after 01.01.2024, the warranty begins in September of the respective year if purchased before September of the year in question, otherwise on the date of purchase. The guarantee is valid throughout the EU.
If material or manufacturing faults that are considered to constitute a warranty claim occur during the warranty period, Hama GmbH & Co KG will resolve the fault free of charge by repairing the goods or replacing them a product that Hama GmbH & Co KG deems to be equivalent.
The warranty we provide is in addition to the statutory rights to a warranty free of charge, for which any claim must be directed to the seller of your product.
Likewise, any statutory rights you have to a warranty free of charge from us remain unaffected by this warranty promise.

In the event of a warranty claim, you must send the Hama product along with proof of purchase in original form with postage and freight costs paid to the following address:

We would ask you to appreciate that Hama GmbH & Co KG may reject the warranty claim if the proof of purchase is not provided, because this proof is used to calculate the warranty period.
Exceptions from the warranty are damages caused by the use of force, improper use, normal wear and tear, the effect of exposure to chemicals or force majeure, as well as interference or repairs by the customer or third parties, without prior written consent from Hama GmbH & Co. KG.
Furthermore, the accessories included in the set, e.g. sports bag, pencil case, pencil case incl. filling, MAGIC MAGS, stencils for 2IN1 school bags, etc. are excluded from the guarantee. Furthermore, parts additionally attached to the product that do not belong to the basic equipment of the product (promotional parts) are excluded from the guarantee.

The warranty is valid only for non-commercial users of our product.

Damages that are not covered by this warranty may be fixed against the cost of the repairs, either by the dealer that sold you the product or by Hama GmbH & Co KG.
