Due to the various depths of the tripod threads in cameras and action cams, the suction tripod was developed so that the thread length can be adjusted. To do this, first screw the plastic disc all the way down to the bottom. On the threaded pin, you will see a metal disc with a thread that you can use to set the desired thread length. Once the thread length has been set, screw the plastic disc as far up as possible until it presses against the metal disc. You can now secure your camera to the tripod.
The suction cup holder can also be used outdoors, however the surface it is attached to must be dry.
